The only way I would be in favor of landing Peavy is if Hughes isn’t included, which is highly unlikely. If he is in some sort of proposed deal..I would put it out of the question. We really don’t need Peavy. If they can get Sabathia..Peavy isn’t a priority, as there are other options. (Lowe, Burnett) The Yankees can keep there young talent, and just give C.C. the big money. This is the same problem I had with the Santana deal. Why should we give up the young talent for someone you can just buy? It makes no sense at all. Everyone complains we have no farm system. The first time in years we actually have some promising prospects..you are in a rush to trade them away? Let’s just hope the Yanks land Sabathia.
