What would you do to make the NBA have a better fanbase?

I was wondering what everyone would do to make the NBA fanbase biggest and more loyal? I have a couple of ideas I think would be great, but I wondered what everyone else thought.

They are doing a great job on cleaning up players acts on and off the court.

IMO I like the dress code.

I do think that they need to move on from some of the old school refs.. Other than that they need to keep charging forward, and more people will watch.

for one thing, during all-star break, i think in the contests like the dunk contest, they should have around a dozen or so competitors. I think it would bring out a variety of new and inavative dunks

i think it would be cool if they could have some kind of giveaway at every game. Maybe not something really big everyone, but at least something nice -

Voters pick the Dunk Contest roster...

Make some rules where they can only compete 2 times max..

That way Lebron can't keep punking out.

Sort of agree with josh smith:
I think make the dunk contest winner be decided be an online poll. So have them all dunk twice or three times and then put all their names on the internet and let people vote and say who won the next day.

I think this would get a lot of ppl to watch the dunk contest and visit the nba website.

I think what they've done so far seems to be working. Ratings were up across the board this year. The league has suddenly attracted new fans, and that was evident during this years playoffs. I do agree that younger refs need to be brought in. Time to put ol **** Bevetta out to pasture.

most will disagree with me but i say dont put an age limit on the draft. if their isnt a age limit of entering the league then guys coming from small towns are gonna get the people who dont watch basketball from that town to watch where normally they might not. also i think their shouldnt be a limit on how many years you have been in the nba to be in a dunk contest. wouldnt you wanna see jrich vc kobe and andrre igualdala in the same dunk contest? or atleast try and get them in the same dunk contest.

I think for the Dunk Contest if you are asked to be in it you must participate. Then have LBJ,J.Rich,J.Smooth, JR Smith, and Kobe see who is the best dunker out there.

Well i heard LeBron didnt wanted to be a dunker, he didnt want to be rembered for his dunking or his dunk contest, he wanted to be more, so he didnt go and i dont blame him, but yeah they need a max on the dunks maybe like 3 max or at least a shot clock last year nate robinson was crazy and the judges were crazy for it, big props to my man iggy

Fire David Stern, hire Michael Jordan or someone. Lol. You would be surprised by how the fan base would increase.

Referees may only ref for 5 years top (this way they cant build up grudges)

Actually call traveling on basket drives... cough... cough... wade

4 points are rewarded for half court (or longer shots)

If players mess up outside the court, they are removed from the NBA...

Refs don't favor superstars. Even though this is something most fans want.

For the NBA dunk contest, actually get the best dunker's to participate.

Every half time show, have a random fan take on an NBA player. I know they sometimes do this, but if they did it more often in might increase crowd attendance.

These are just some random ideas I had...
