Pacers attempting to bring back the ABA???

Well, apparently the Pacers asked the NBA about using the RWB ball and their request was denied. A ceremonial RWB opening tip may be all we get. Really? That's it? Something must be done to right this wrong.

Personally I think using the Red, white and blue ball would be freaking awesome. I'll be at this game and it would be really great to see the "beach ball" and maybe Jim O'Brien patrolling the sidelines in one of Slick Leonard's old suits.

So you can have 18 different uniforms in the regular season, and wear them on random nights for no reason, but you can't play a pre-season game with a red/white/blue ball?

Sounds hypocritical to me. Maybe we should attack David Stern's apparent lack of patriotism (denying the colors) and his refusal to respect and honor the past in a fun and harmless way. Some bad press might get him to change his mind.
