i am by far not straight edge. i was addicted to prescription drugs for 4 1/2 years as a teen drunk heavily from the ages of 16-28 (still do on occasion) smoked from 14-now.

but i do have friends that have never drunk, smoked or taken any form of drugs not prescribed for them, they are all around the same age that i am 30!!

so just because we chose a different lifestyle thats no reason to shoot this poor kids ( sorry dont remeber your name) hopes and dreams of remaining clean down.

im not saying its a fact. i was saying and hiend agreed that it gets alot harder when you get older. if you can keep straight through it then good for you, more power to you. but for me its stress relief, its good to let loose after some of the crap ive delt with and i guess im not strong enough to keep straight.

keep in mind its just alcohol, nothing else

ok, today is the first time i'm hearing of straight edge? is it just no drinking, smoking and drugs? or does it include all other vices, like gambling, sex, etc?

regardless, more power to anyone leading that life and sticking with it. I am pretty much nowhere near that lifestyle (though I don't smoke, just b/c i think it's disgusting) and don't have intentions of changing now.And so what if Alex is only 15, by 15 I was already off the straight edge path, so it's still something of significance.
