Danica Patrick, Dan Wheldon and Sam Hornish Jr are amoung some of the drivers and I need cards for autos....please someone help me

Greetings!

You are going to have some tough sledding there on the card front for those drivers. Here is what I am aware of that is out there for them:

Dan Wheldon - One SI for Kids card, also has cards produced in the set available at IMS for the past three years.

Danica Patrick - Topps A & G produced a base card of her as well as some parallels of that card, in addition there are also cards in the IMS sets of her for the last three years

Sam Hornish - One SI for Kids card, a card in the 2002 & 2007 IMS sets, also a card from a set produced by firestone that shows up on eBay periodically (its like 5 cards, 4 drivers)

Now - the IMS sets I refer to were distributed in full sheet form (all 16 cards) exclusively at the Indianpolis Motor Speedway. They are not terribly rare - a quick search of eBay by myself produced the sets for the past three years. I am unsure of the exisentce of a 2004 set, the 2003 set featured oversized cards in a fan guide style book, and there was also a 2002 set - but most of those drivers are no longer active. I have included some helpful nuggets for you on other probable/potential entrants for Iowa to look out for - hope this helps! - Scott

Hey Tony,

No problem! I forgot Marty Roth - but he doesn't have anything yet lol. If you can track down some Legends cards you might do alright as A.J. Foyt and Michael Andretti are both owners in the series. If your race was two months later you would be all set - Rittenhouse Archives (they make cards for Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, James Bond - lots of TV/movie shows) is actually set to release an Indy Car set on July 25, 2007. The set was actually supposed to be released yesterday but they pushed it back for whatever reason. I haven't seen a sell sheet for it as of yet but I would assume the set includes most if not all the series regulars (auto inserts as well - but again - not sure who).
