Although the administrators and moderators of Sports Card Freaks Forums will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Sports Card Freaks Forums, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of Sports Card Freaks Forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

Also the following rules apply to all members. Failure to know these rules is not an acceptable excuse to follow them. By registering for this forum in any manner you agree to follow all rules in principle and wording and agree to not attempt to by pass any rules in any manner.

• Scammers are not allowed here on the site. If you are a thief, you are not welcome here. Stealing cards from others is considered mail fraud, and the staff will do everything in it’s power to report criminals to the proper authorities. There are a police officers here on the board who have, and will continue to help eliminate internet theft. We also work hand, and hand with many of the other card sites, so being banned on here can also mean getting blacklisted on other sites. Making this site safe for all is our number one priority.
• Board members are allowed to have one login only. In a case where more than one member is sharing a computer, we will allow multiple users (eg. two siblings sharing at home), but that will have to be pre-approved by the administrator, so we can keep track of that scenario. However, if there are any issues with either one of the members, both members will be held accountable, and have both their accounts closed. Anyone else caught using multiple accounts will be held accountable for their actions, and permanently banned from the site.
• Mass spamming of SCF on other websites, or posting of our public url at those sites is prohibited, unless you have permission from the owner/administrators of that site. Anyone found doing this will be removed from the site. However, referring your friends, and trading buddies is graciously welcome, and encouraged through other means of contact. (eg, emails, AIM etc.)
• Spamming of other sites is not allowed, and will not be tolerated on this site. Anyone found spamming other sites will immediately have their account suspended, and or banned, and in some cases your ISP may also be contacted. We will allow you to list your ebay auctions, as long as they provide an accurate description of it’s contents. Personal sites are also allowed, BUT only in the properly assigned forum.
  
  (any member who has their ebay info in their profile will have an ebay icon on the left side under their login name. It is located by the post, and point totals. Any member can see your listings simply by clicking on that icon.)
• Excessive mass bumping is not acceptable on the site, and will be punishable by warnings, suspensions, and in extreme cases, removal from the site. Be considerate of the other members. If no one is responding to your thread, there is probably little, or no interest. We will allow you to bump once every 8 hours, if there are no other replies. Also, there are only so many spots on the first page of each forum, so members must keep the amount of threads to a reasonable level (3 maximum). Anyone who abuses this rule will have their threads removed, and could face further punishment at the discretion of the staff. There is no need to have 6 running threads to sell 6 separate cards. Please consolidate them to as few threads as possible. We realize that many of the members collect multi-sports, but try to be considerate of others, and keep trade lists in the appropriate forums. There is nothing more frustrating for someone who collects just hockey for example, have to sift through football, baseball, and basketball lists to find their sport. Try Posting a thread link instead of listing all sports in one thread.
• Objectionable content is not welcome, and can result in getting your login banned. This policy covers all posts on the message board, and also on the site's private messaging service.
• Objectionable language is any curse word (even cleverly misspelled words) We will allow you to use the old-fashioned method of "****" to cover an entire word. Racial slurs, description or depiction of an adult situations, or outright threats to a fellow board member will not be tolerated. Some of the most interesting threads are sometimes heated debates, but a decent level of civility should be maintained at ALL times. There is a zero tolerance policy for personal attacks, or insults. Treat others the way you expect to be treated in return.
• Board stalking, trolling, harassment, and thread-bombing will not be tolerated. If you have a legitimate gripe with another board member that can’t be handled privately, say your piece respectively, and move on. Ongoing flame wars serve no purpose, and do not belong on the site. If you do not like someone on this board, ignore them. We do not ban people from this site because someone doesn’t “like” them. You can ignore them on the site easily by going to user profile, finding the ignore member link, and add them to your list.
• Any member who has a question, comment, or suggestion for a moderator, please either use the email link in their signature, or send them a private message. Any moderator questions in the open forum may be deleted at the mods discretion.
• Please keep all signatures to a respectable size (550X100). Any signatures that are too large will be deleted at the staff's discretion. There are many members who will help shrink your signatures, if you don’t know how to do it. Just ask someone!
• There will be no warez, cracks, serials, or illegally obtained copyrighted content allowed. Links to content of a questionable nature asking for, offering, or asking for help to process such content in any way, or form will not be tolerated at all.
• The feedback system is a helpful tool for all members to see their trading partners past history. Anyone found misusing, or abusing the feedback system will have their account immediately suspended, or in severe cases, permanently banned. Please contact the staff member assigned to the corresponding forum before leaving negative feedback for a transaction. Most problems can be worked out, or solved before leaving unnecessary negative feedback.
• All transactions, whether it’s trading, buying, or selling, are to be posted in the trade manager. You can find the link at the top left side of each page near the arcade link. When creating the deal in the trade manager, be as specific as possible with the description of items, dollar amounts, sending dates etc. Both parties are to confirm the deal, and click the received button when their end arrives. Both parties at that point should leave feedback for one another, and don’t forget to close out the transaction when all is completed.

• All members who are assigned an Must Send First (MSF) tag, have been done so for a reason, and will abide by this rule. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! Anyone under MSF status that refuses to abide by this rule may be permanently removed from the site. Any current member in good standing on the board, does not have to send first, or at the same time with another member on MSF. If they do it is strictly at their own risk.
• There is no personal business sales allowed on the board unless it is approved by staff. The site is not at all to be used as your business. If anyone would like to advertise on the board, they must contact admin to discuss this matter. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
• Members must respect the choices of the moderators. You may not always like, or agree with their decisions, but they have a job to do, and there are reasons why they make those choices. Anyone who verbally abuses a staff member will be dealt with accordingly.
• If you are on staff on any sports card related staff you must immedatly notify the Administrator of SportsCardFreaks.com with your username on freaks, username on the forum in which you moderate, and the forum on which you moderate. This is to prevent past issues with staff of other sites inappropriately contacting members on SportsCardFreaks.com. Failure to do so can/will lead to a removal of the account at the discretion of the Administrator of SportsCardFreaks.com
• Group Box Breaks where selling of teams/packs/cards occurs are strictly governed on SportsCardFreaks.com. Currently only Moderators and Administrators of SportsCardFreaks.com are allowed to run group box breaks. If you would like to be considered to run your own group box breaks please contact the administrator of SportsCardFreaks.com for information. This rule was instituted to prevent issues that have occured multiple times on other sports card forums

The staff reserves the right to update, change, alter, remove, or modify these rules for any reason at any time. Use good judgement if you think what you are doing may be against an "unwritten" rule. Breaking of any of the rules may result in warning(s), suspension(s), being permanently banned, depending on the circumstances.
