It definitely affects some products like Upper Deck Series One, as it's known for it's Young Guns rookie set, and rookies cannot appear in any products until they've played at least one NHL game. All the new draftees were not in the series one product because of no hockey, and they have yet to play an NHL game. Products that just came out like Dominion, and The Cup will sell well regardless, because they are from 2011-12 season. The product this thread is about Heroes, and Prospects will sell very good, because these new crop rookies are in the product, because they can include them in their junior teams colors. In The Game have several products that are not gonna be affected by the lockout, because of their content. If the lockout continues, and the season is wiped out, it will definitely affect all of the Panini, and Upper Deck products slated to come out. I wouldn't be surprised if some got cancelled.
