Jimmie Johnson Wins Pole at Phoenix

    Jimmie Johnson who was the fastest car in the first practice Friday, then went out to set a track record, and win the pole for Sunday's race in Phoenix. His fast lap of 25.858 seconds, and 139.222 mph, just beat out Denny Hamlin, who will start on the outside pole beside the 48 car.

    Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, and Jeff Gordon round out the top five qualifiers. Spots 6-10 will be filled by Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Martin Truex Jr.

    Matt Kenseth will start 14th.
